What is SparrowTune?

SparrowTune is a music business intelligence app for music industry professionals. It delivers a curated news feed from global music business sources, a searchable directory of industry conferences and events, and a specialised job board for music industry roles — all in one place.

Is SparrowTune free to use?

Yes — SparrowTune is free to download and use. A SparrowTune Pro subscription is available for users who want real-time data updates, priority job listings, and an ad-free experience. Pro is currently priced at $7.99/month and can be purchased through the App Store or Google Play.

How do I reset my password?

On the login screen, tap "Forgot your password?" and enter your email address. You'll receive a one-time code to your inbox — enter it in the app and set a new password. If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder or contact us at hello@sparrowtune.app.

How do I cancel my SparrowTune Pro subscription?

Subscriptions are managed entirely by the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).

iOS: Settings app → Apple ID → Subscriptions → SparrowTune → Cancel Subscription.
Android: Google Play app → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → SparrowTune → Cancel.

Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund any unused portion of the current period.

Can I get a refund?

All in-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google. SparrowTune itself does not handle billing and cannot issue refunds directly. If you believe you were charged incorrectly:

iOS: Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund from Apple.
Android: Contact Google Play Support through the Play Store app.

The news feed isn't updating — what should I do?

Pull down on the feed to manually refresh. If it still appears stale, try closing and reopening the app. Our feeds sync every few hours from curated RSS sources. If the issue persists for more than 24 hours, contact us at hello@sparrowtune.app and we'll investigate.

How do I submit a job listing or event?

Inside the app, go to Profile → Get Featured with Us, or email us directly at hello@sparrowtune.app with the details. We review all submissions manually before publishing.

I found incorrect or outdated information — how do I report it?

Email us at hello@sparrowtune.app with the subject line "Content correction" and a brief description of what needs to be updated. We aim to address content issues within 72 hours.

Is my personal data safe?

Yes. We use industry-standard security: HTTPS/TLS for all data in transit, bcrypt for password hashing, and JWT-based session management. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. For full details, read our Privacy Policy.

1 I can't log in

Try the following steps in order:

Check that your email/username and password are correct (passwords are case-sensitive).
Use "Forgot your password?" on the login screen to reset via email OTP.
Make sure your email address was verified when you first registered.
If your account was recently created, check your inbox for the verification code email.

2 Changing your email or username

You can update your display name, company, role, and other profile details from Profile → Edit Profile. Email address changes require you to contact support directly at hello@sparrowtune.app from your registered address.

3 Deleting your account

Account deletion is immediate and permanent. All your data — profile, bookmarks, saved jobs, and activity history — will be erased and cannot be recovered.

To delete your account:

Open SparrowTune → Profile tab → Account Settings → Delete Account.
Enter your password to confirm. The deletion takes effect immediately.

5 Cancellation & refunds

SparrowTune does not process payments directly. All billing is handled by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android). Refund requests must be directed to them.

Cancel iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → SparrowTune → Cancel.
Cancel Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments → Subscriptions → SparrowTune.
